Tread compound
Natural rubber blended with styrene-butadiene rubber makes a more balanced compound — strong under braking, resistant to punctures and scratches, and slow to wear. Measured against a conventional compound indexed at 100, the factory rates strength at 108, with heat dissipation and wear resistance both at 106.

Sidewall and casing
A shield pattern extends up onto the sidewall, protecting it from damage and adding traction on mud. Beneath the tread the casing is built from three layers of polyester fabric, which is what makes the tyre rugged against sharp impacts from rock and debris.

Shoulder design
An open shoulder with widened, deepened grooves clears mud at both low and high speed. The large blocks carried across the shoulder are what steady the tyre on broken, rocky ground.
