A tyre brand built for volume markets

HILO is one of four brands from Shandong Xinghongyuan Tire Co., Ltd, and is distributed across Australia by Cypress Tyres.

The factory

Shandong Xinghongyuan Tire Co., Ltd began construction in November 2013 in Mengyin, Shandong Province, with registered capital of 490 million yuan against a total investment of 2.6 billion yuan, on a 536-acre site.

The plant is built around passenger car tyres, with capacity for 12 million car tyres a year across four brands — Hilo, Annaite, Anchee and Premme. Its products are sold into more than 100 countries across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, South East Asia, Latin America and North America.

The company works to a stated principle of "low carbon, green, efficient environment", and has developed more than 60 passenger tyre sizes using low-rolling-resistance compounds and structural design.
